HAPPY 4th OF JULY!
I suppose there is a reason why they call it happy hour.
Enjoying a few drinks after work, while not putting too much strain on your wallet has been a tradition uniquely American since the early 1900s, when naval officers on the USS Arkansas coined the term.
No worries if you didn’t know the origin. Happy hour should simply do as the name implies. Feeling happy is your right and why not enjoy appetizers and beverages while you do it?
The Lowry, in our opinion, has the best happy hour in the Twin Cities. Located in Uptown, you can choose from oysters, carnitas, sliders, pot stickers and more for prices as delicious as the food itself.
You can’t make a wrong choice when it comes to food, but if you’re wondering what we like best, it’d be the deviled eggs. Complete with arugula, aioli, bacon and pickled relish, at two bucks a pop, you’ll be begging them to take your money.
Being a member of the Blue Plate family, you can get phenomenal Freehouse beers as well, of which we have and will always recommend the stout.
Their weekly cocktail only runs you $6 and tap beers are either $3 or $4.
So happy hour here is excellent but after you try the deviled eggs and stout, you might just want to call it extra happy hour.
Stop in anytime from 4PM-7PM or 10PM-close. It happens everyday.
