It’s become pretty clear to us that a name doesn’t matter. It’s what that name does that offers substance, creates lasting memories, and creates provisions for a long and healthy life.
So when you have a name like Neighborhood Cafe, you may fall into judging a book by it’s cover walking past. Does the name grab your attention, well no. But does their food? Absolutely yes.
Just off of Snelling, on Selby, you’ll find a crowd standing outside this place’s doors every single weekend. Why? Because the breakfast here is heavenly.
So they’ve got the best flapjacks around. Award winning ones. And their endless options of omelettes you can build and sandwiches you can build will have you stressing not to screw it up.
But you can easily trust your server who will probably recommend a cinnamon roll to you or one of their cajun breakfast options, a particular favorite of ours.
The staff is energetic every time we go here and find their exuberance gives us a little bit more room in our belly for that extra egg, toast and some of their homemade salsa.
So waiting outside for a table is an absolute must. Anywhere you go, pay attention to the locals. The people who diligently wait in line or outside for a seat are no dummies and those who love Neighborhood Cafe are no different.
Bring a deck of cards, take a couple selfies, because you’ll be waiting awhile. But when you get that seat you’ll forget all about it and become over-the-top in love with your Neighborhood Cafe.
