Get up! Something you think to yourself when your alarm is going off or when your internal clock aligns with direct line of the sun that communicates to you to get your ass out of bed. Unless you’re a crazy wake up before the sun to go run, do yoga, till your garden and parkour sort of person, chances are that you are going to need a cup of coffee.
So what do you do? You roll out of bed. You head to your kitchen and you start your Keurig. Here’s why we say you shouldn’t.
Because places like Blue Moon Coffee exist and for good reason. This joint is open at 7 a.m. every morning (8 a.m. on weekends) 365 days a year so that you can experience a dark or light roast that will Wake. You. Up.
We drop in for a nice espresso and and a half hour of reading a good book. Then, in between sips of our espresso, we’ll look away from our book to experience one of the local artist’s work hanging on the walls. Whether it is photography, expressionist or something else, it’s local, so we like it and we often find ourselves staring deeply into each work for a higher appreciation of life itself.
This place is more than just a spot to get coffee and wish you understood art though. It’s a fun hangout, with board games and late hours. Blue Moon likes to say they offer an enticing atmosphere and we are certainly enticed to come here as often as we can, day or night.
And you should too.
