There really aren’t too many places we’d rather be than the kitchen. To feel the worn handles of our wooden spoons or to rinse the excess flour from our hands after expertly rolling out some pizza dough gives us a great deal of enjoyment.
It’s freedom really. A dash or this, a pinch of that. Cooking is a form of self expression that really affects the senses and makes us feel like we’ve got the best, insert specialty dish here, around. Ours just happens to be chili–in case you were wondering.
So there really is a fondness in our hearts for a place like Cooks of Crocus Hill. With three different locations, the kitchen and store at Cooks inspires us to create not only dishes that taste good but are fun to make.
Firstly, you wish this kitchen was your kitchen. Their store is stocked with hundreds of items from cast iron skillets to an excellent selection of knives to the fantastic stock of cook books that will teach you anything from rolling sushi at home to cooking over an open campfire. The items aren’t cheap and they shouldn’t be. It’s hard for us to walk out without spending a few hundred dollars because you simply have to have that deglazing whisk or that lemon reamer. Like Veruca Salt, we want it now.
Cooks hasn’t been around for over 40 years by simply selling cookware though. They offer classes almost every night that will teach you how to create the perfect Italian date night or how to create a menu for the grill that isn’t only tasty but healthy.
We want all the things. The cookware, the classes, and of course the food. Start making yours better by stopping in here.
